PSA: Tried a new fish tape for tight attic runs last month, total game changer

I was using that old steel tape for ages, but it kept getting stuck on insulation in these old houses. Switched to a fiberglass one, the Klein one with the glow in the dark tip. It bends way easier around joists and doesn't snag on everything. What do you guys use for those cramped spaces?

Glow in the dark is a gimmick, my headlamp works fine. That fiberglass stuff kinks if you look at it wrong, and good luck pulling anything heavy with it. The old steel tape might fight you, but it actually gets the job done without snapping.

Used to roll my eyes at glow tips but yeah that actually seems useful.
