Rant: Velcro straps saved me from a cable nightmare
I was helping a buddy set up his home network over the weekend. We found a mess of tangled wires behind his TV stand. I used to think zip ties were the best for keeping cables neat. But when we needed to add a new gaming console, cutting all those ties was a pain. Then I remembered seeing velcro straps at my store. We switched to velcro, and now it's so easy to move things around. It hit me that small changes in tools can make a big difference in this job.

Tried using binder clips for cable management on a whim. They clamped onto the desk edge and held wires neatly for months. Sometimes the simplest stuff works until you find a better fix.

Nah, hard disagree on that being temporary @gray6. Some of the simplest fixes are the final boss. I've had the same cheap zip ties holding my PC cables for years. Those little adhesive Velcro straps on the back of my TV? Still perfect. People waste money on "pro" solutions for problems that were already solved with stuff from the junk drawer.

Honestly, that "better fix" often just costs more without working better.
