Talked to a 30-year veteran who said I was overthinking my terminations
He told me to stop trying to make every RJ45 connector perfect and just focus on untwisting pairs as little as possible. After I tried it on 50 drops today, I saved almost 2 hours... has anyone else been taught the 'good enough' approach by an old timer?

Did you read that study from a few years back about how over-twisting is actually the number one cause of intermittent failures on longer cable runs? It sounds like that veteran was saving you from future headaches, not just today's wasted time.

So one study settles it forever, huh?
