That coax line that had me cussin' for 90 minutes
Went to hook up a new drop last Tuesday and the toned showed a perfect signal at the tap, but nothin' at the ground block. Spent an hour and a half diggin' through this homeowner's crazy overgrown ivy lookin' for a break, only to find a squirrel had chewed through the line right where it came out of the conduit. Anybody else had a critter turn a 15 minute job into a whole afternoon?

Man, 90 minutes feels a bit dramatic for a squirrel snack. Was this a premium drop or something?

Oh wow, I gotta just respectfully disagree with you there. I mean, ninety minutes for a squirrel snack? That's definitely not dramatic when you see how those little critters work. They don't just grab a nut and run, they're picky about their food and they'll stash it in a safe spot. Plus, have you ever watched a squirrel try to crack open a walnut? It's not fast. They gotta find the right one first, then mess with it until it opens. So yeah, I can totally see someone spending that time watching and helping out. It's about the experience and the animal's nature, not just a quick bite.
