Can we talk about the adjuster who laughed at my doctor's report?
I had a claims adjuster from Hartford tell me my spine MRI was 'just normal aging' while I was sitting in the ER waiting room in Bakersfield. She actually chuckled and said 'everyone over 40 has those findings' like my herniated disc was no big deal. Has anyone else had an adjuster just dismiss your medical evidence like that?

And of course she "laughed" because nothing says professional like chuckling at someone's spine basically falling apart. I swear these adjusters get a handbook called "How to Gaslight Claimants 101" with a chapter on "When in Doubt, Blame It on Aging." Next they'll tell me my broken leg is just a "gravity-related adjustment" or that my concussion is "normal weekend behavior for someone my age."
Did your doctor also get a good laugh out of trying to explain what a herniated disc actually means to someone who probably googled "spine stuff" for five minutes before calling you?

She actually laughed in the ER waiting room while you were in a hospital bed? That's crazy to me, total lack of basic decency. My adjuster tried telling me my ruptured disc was from a "preexisting childhood injury" which I've never even had before. Adjusters will say whatever they can to avoid paying out, it's like they're trained to ignore doctors.
