Changed my mind about paying for a lawyer after one stat

I was dead set on handling my own comp claim after a warehouse injury in Fresno. Then I saw that workers with lawyers get about 3 times more in settlements on average. That one number from the DWC website totally flipped my thinking. I'm meeting with a rep next week now. Has anyone here gone it alone and regretted it?

Isn't that how most things work though, one solid fact just shifts your whole perspective?
