Just realized a big difference in how QME exams went for me

I had my first QME back in March and the doctor barely looked at me, spent maybe 15 minutes total, and wrote a report that totally missed what I told him. Fast forward to last week, I picked a different QME doctor through the panel and the exam took over an hour. He actually asked about my daily pain patterns and watched me do movements instead of just reading a form. That longer exam got me a report that mentioned specific work restrictions my lawyer could actually use. Has anyone else noticed a huge gap between QME doctors like this?

...and that first one sounds almost identical to what happened to me back in April. I had this guy who barely let me finish a sentence before he was typing away, and then his report said I could do heavy lifting which is literally why I was there in the first place. It's like some of them just want to get you out the door and check a box, you know? I'm glad you got a better one the second time around though, that makes a world of difference when they actually listen for more than five minutes.

Lilyg83 that sounds like you got the "fastest fingers in the West" version of a doctor. Maybe they think if they type fast enough their mistakes will just disappear into the ether. Next time tell them you're applying for a job as a professional couch tester and see how fast they write that down.
