My lawyer talked me into settling early and I regret it

Had a workers comp case from a fall off a roof in Bakersfield back in March. My lawyer kept pushing me to take the first offer from the insurance company, said it was fair and I'd be waiting months for more. I trusted him because he sounded sure of himself. Well I took the $12,000 settlement and now my shoulder still acts up every time it rains. Found out later from a buddy who went through the same thing that the first offer is always low and you should hold out for a second opinion. Now I'm stuck with medical bills that keep coming and no way to reopen the case. Has anyone else had a lawyer push them to settle too quick and later wish they fought harder?

My uncle settled his car accident case early too and now his back hurts every time he sneezes.

Tell him to see a specialist before signing anything next time.
