My QME doctor in Oakland tried to rush me through my exam
Went to a QME appointment at Kaiser in Oakland last month and the doc spent maybe 8 minutes with me before saying I was fine to go back to work. I stood my ground and asked him to document every single one of my complaints in writing. Turned out his report missed two major issues my lawyer caught, and we got the judge to toss it. Has anyone else had a QME try to blow through your eval like that?

My buddy had the exact same thing happen at a QME in San Jose last year.

That QME clinic on Story Road in San Jose? I've heard nothing but complaints about that place for years. Here's what actually worked for a customer of mine who went through this mess: call the WCAB and ask for a formal panel election form instead of fighting with the insurance adjuster over the phone. You can usually get a new QME within 14 days once that paperwork is filed properly. Just make sure you keep copies of everything including the original scheduling notice because they'll try to claim you missed the appointment.
