My QME doctor rushed my evaluation in 15 minutes - felt like a rubber stamp

I went to my QME appointment in Fresno last month for my shoulder injury from work. The doctor barely looked at my MRI report and spent less than 15 minutes with me. He said I could go back to light duty even though I can't lift my arm past my shoulder. I learned that QMEs are way too quick and don't look at the whole picture. Has anyone else had a QME that felt like they already decided before you walked in?

Felt like they already decided before you walked in" - probably billing code says 15 minutes max.

Felt like they already decided before you walked in" - nah, they decided before you even parked the car. My QME spent more time flipping through the wrong chart than looking at my MRI.

The doc walked in late too, like they had somewhere better to be. Sorry that happened to you @terry_thomas. Reminds me of my aunt's workers' comp thing where the doctor kept calling her by the wrong name the whole visit. She just sat there nodding along cause she didn't want to be rude. Meanwhile her MRI results were sitting on the desk the whole time. Point is, some folks just check out before you even get a word in.
