Ran into my old claims adjuster at the grocery store last week

He said I was the only guy who ever sent him a thank you card after a settlement, and it made me think about how much easier it is to be angry than grateful when you're hurt and waiting on checks. Do you guys ever feel like the whole process makes you bitter even after you win?

Actually wrote a thank you card? To an insurance adjuster? That's gotta be the most polite thing I've ever heard of, most folks I know want to throw their phone through the window after dealing with those folks.

Yeah, I used to feel the same way, but that actually changes how I see it.
