Sat in the waiting room at the WCAB office in Van Nuys for 3 hours and watched 9 people get turned away
Had my first hearing last week so I got there early, around 7:30am, and just sat in that room on Van Nuys Blvd watching people come and go. Nine people got told their paperwork was wrong or their date got moved, and one older guy with a cane got sent home because his claim number didn't match what the front desk had. The thing that got me was nobody explained WHY, they just handed people a new date slip and said come back in 60 days. I brought every paper I own in a folder and still almost missed a form my adjuster never told me about. How do you all keep track of what the board actually wants, is there a checklist somewhere or do you just learn by getting sent home?

People just don't read the forms right, not that deep.
