My brother in law dealt with something like this after a car accident back in 2019. His lawyer told him to keep a log and he did it for maybe two weeks then quit because he figured the doctors would just take his word for it. Turns out the other side's QME wrote that his injuries seemed "exaggerated" because there was no paperwork trail. That one sentence cost him thousands in his settlement. Eight months feels like forever when you're in it but looking back it's really just a few minutes a day you wish you'd spent.
