Vent: Took 11 months to get my QME exam scheduled

I hurt my back in April last year lifting boxes at a warehouse in Fresno. My lawyer said the QME would be quick but it took forever just to get the appointment. I called the MPN office like 4 times and kept getting different answers. When the report finally came back, the doctor said my injury was only 5% disabled. My lawyer is fighting it but now I'm stuck waiting another 4 months for a second opinion. I feel like the whole system is designed to wear you down so you just give up. Anyone else have a QME take way longer than they expected?

Tbh that 5% number sounds like the doctor barely even looked at you.

Wait, did your doc even look at the chart? I had a friend who went in for a lump and they told her it was probably nothing, turned out she needed surgery.
