Camera shop owner called my CLA method lazy, now I do it his way, who is right?
Dropped a Pentax K1000 at a shop downtown and the owner watched me do a quick mirror box clean, then said I was just moving dirt around and told me to pull the focus screen and soak the foam seals in naphtha first. I switched to his way 6 months ago and my comebacks dropped a lot, but it adds like 40 minutes a body so now I only do it on customer cameras. Any of you strip it down that far or is he overdoing it?
