A tech in Seattle pointed out my solvent was leaving a film that caused drag, after I fixed a Leica M3 that kept sticking. What's your go-to cleaner for old cloth shutters?

Did he ever say? I swear half the battle with these guys is just getting them to admit what they're actually using. I spent a month chasing a tip from some guy in Oregon and it turned out he was just using straight acetone with a bit of mineral oil mixed in.
