Shoutout to that $12 JIS screwdriver I bought on a whim
Been fighting stripped screws on old Nikon bodies for years. Picked up a JIS #000 driver for $12 at a local shop and it grabbed those tiny cross heads like magic. Anyone else find a cheap tool that completely changed their repair work?

Gotta respectfully disagree with @margaret_jackson73 on that one. Technique matters for sure, but using the wrong tool with perfect technique is like trying to eat soup with a fork you know? Ive definitely done my share of mangling screw heads with normal phillips drivers, thinking I was just being careful enough. That little JIS driver saved me from my own stubbornness and probably a dozen more trips to the hardware store. Still stripped a screw or two learning to go slow with it, but thats on me not the tool.
