Vent: A kid's sticky fingers messed up my shutter calibration job

Had a camera on the bench with the cover off for fine adjustment. My nephew wandered in and poked the mirror box with jam all over his hands. Now there's gunk on the sensor and the shutter timing is off. I have to start over and deep clean everything, which adds hours to the fix.

Ugh, jam in the mirror box sounds like a nightmare. Cleaning that sensor is gonna be such a pain. How bad is the gunk?

Ever have a kid disaster that's so ridiculous you can't even get mad? My buddy was detailing his car interior and his niece decided to 'polish' the dash with a syrup sandwich. Took him three hours to get the stickiness out of all the vents. Makes camera jam seem almost tame, but sensor gunk is a whole different beast. That deep clean sounds like a total pain, hope it goes quicker than you think.
