Vent: a Rolleiflex came in with haze so bad I couldn't see the shutter, then 45 minutes of work fixed it
Customer brought in a Rolleiflex 3.5F last Tuesday that had been sitting in a garage in Sacramento since 1998. The taking lens looked like someone breathed on it and let it dry for 25 years, just a gray film over everything. I pulled the front element, soaked it in a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and distilled water for about 20 minutes, then polished with a microfiber. Night and day difference, you can read newspaper print through the glass now. Anyone else have a go-to soak ratio for fungus versus plain haze?
