Was dead set against those sensor cleaning swabs for years, finally tried them and I was wrong
I always used the old blower method and just hoped for the best. Did a Canon 5D Mark III last week for a client near Cleveland and the dust spots were brutal in their test shots. Finally caved and bought a proper kit after watching a tutorial from a guy in the UK. Cost me $35 for the big pack and it took maybe 10 minutes to fix everything. Now I feel like an idiot for fighting it so long. Has anyone else found a tool they swore off for way too long?

Swore off tripods for years till I tried a carbon fiber one and realized I was just bad at balancing heavy metal ones.

Honestly I wonder how serious the dust spots really were. Ive used the same Rocket blower on my 6D for like six years and never had a shot ruined bad enough that I couldn't fix it in Lightroom in 30 seconds. But I also shoot mostly portraits and landscapes not product stuff where every speck shows up. Maybe if I shot f/16 all day for architecture I'd feel different but for my stuff a $35 kit seems like overkill. Also 10 minutes is a long time to be poking at your sensor feels risky.
