A muddy trail near my house taught me more about boots than any review.
Why did I ever ignore boot comfort before this local mess?

That sudden boot review moment hits hard. My old pair felt fine until a wet hike where the stitching leaked and the tread packed with clay. Real comfort isn't about the living room carpet test, it's about ankle support on a slick slope and dry socks at the end. You don't know what a boot is for until it fails its only real job halfway down a trail. A real shame it often takes a cold, personal mud puddle to teach that.

My trail run last Tuesday redefined boot comfort entirely.
