Dropped $130 on a collapsible camp table from REI that wobbled apart on the second trip
Bought it back in May for car camping near Flagstaff and by the second trip the leg hinge stripped out so bad my stove slid off mid breakfast. REI took it back no questions asked but I still burned a tank of gas and two weekends messing with it. The guy at the counter said they get these returns a lot because the hinge pin is plastic. Anyone found a folding table under $200 that actually holds a cast iron skillet without turning into a seesaw?
Ever watch a grown man fight a table in the rain? Buddy of mine got a cheap aluminum roll top one and the whole thing folded up on him while he was setting down a dutch oven, beans everywhere. He ended up just using the tailgate after that, which honestly seems like the move unless you really need the counter space.
