Hot take: My lightweight stove failed when I needed it most.
I learned the hard way that saving weight on a stove can mean no hot dinner when it counts.

Wait, your stove DIED on you when you were counting on it? That is literally the worst time for gear to fail. I've always been scared to cut too much weight on things that keep me warm and fed. A few ounces saved is NOT worth a cold, hungry night out there. Some of those ultra-light stoves look cool but they can be tricky. Now I carry a bit more weight for peace of mind.

Know the feeling, my stove died at dusk, now I pack heavier.
