I bought a $50 'ultralight' camp chair that broke on its first trip

Got the Trekker Ultralite from an online ad, and the leg snapped when I leaned back at a campsite near Bend. It was just cheap plastic joints under the fabric. What's a good sturdy chair that won't fall apart?

Parker_park8 is right, skip plastic joints.

Disagree with the idea that price equals quality here. In my experience, those super cheap ultralight chairs are almost always a gamble. You really need to look at the materials, not just the weight. A good chair will have aluminum poles and proper joints, not plastic. I'd rather carry a few extra ounces for something that won't leave me sitting on the ground.

Ever think the lightest gear was best? You just changed my mind about that.
