Local campers are reporting zipper failures on a common backpack model.

Happened to my cousin during his trek.

My cousin's zipper failed on the Colorado Trail last month. I read a forum thread about weak sliders on that model. @the_christopher's advice on WD-40 might prevent some issues. But if the metal is already bad, it won't help. High humidity just makes it fail sooner.

High humidity on the PCT last month made similar metal parts corrode and fail fast.

Hit it with WD-40 before the trip next time.
