Lost $60 on a solar charger that died after 3 trips
I bought this foldable solar panel from a brand I saw on Instagram last spring. Took it out camping in the Gila National Forest and it worked okay the first two times. Third trip, the USB port just stopped working after a little rain got in. Tried to return it but the company ghosted me on email. Anyone else run into solar gear that just falls apart after a few uses?

Honestly that's exactly what happened to me with a similar solar panel from a random Instagram ad. The thing looked great in the photos but after one windy night it just stopped charging my phone. Total waste of money and the company never replied to my emails either.

Wait hold on @ben662 saying they're crying over 60 bucks? Did you miss the part where the USB port died after a little rain got in? That's not crying, that's pointing out a trash product that can't handle basic weather. A solar charger that dies from rain is like buying a waterproof jacket that dissolves in a drizzle. I'd be mad too if I saved up for that thing and it crapped out after 2 trips.
