My coleman stove hit 500 meals cooked on it last night

Ive been using the same two burner coleman for like 8 years now and it just passed 500 meals. Still fires up first try every time even after all that use. Anyone else got a piece of gear thats way outlasted what you expected?

You know what I've noticed about those old coleman stoves is they just keep going. My dad gave me one from the 80s and it's got rust spots on the legs and the paint is all chipped up but it still cranks out a hot breakfast in the snow like it's brand new. I've replaced the little valve knob thing twice but other than that it's solid. It's funny how the simple stuff lasts forever and the fancy new camping gear with all the bells and whistles breaks after one season.

Agree completely @the_jason. My dad's old Coleman from the 70s still starts on the first pump even after sitting in a damp garage for ten years. The enamel's flaking off the tank and one of the legs is held together with duct tape, but it boils water just as fast as the day he bought it. Meanwhile I've got a fancy camp stove from two years ago that's already got a busted igniter and a valve that sticks in the cold. Simple stuff really does just work.
