My sibling and I use gear choice to decide camp duties now

We used to argue over who does what on our trips. Now, whoever picks the nicer sleeping bag first has to handle cooking clean-up. It's a fair way to share work and enjoy the better gear. Our camping days are much more relaxed because of this.

That "much more relaxed" feeling is the whole point. I see this a lot, where a simple, clear trade-off stops arguments before they start. It works for roommates splitting chores or coworkers sharing tasks too.
