My trusty old camp stove finally gave up the ghost on a trip to the White Mountains
It was a Coleman from maybe 2008, and the burner just wouldn't light after a rainy night... I tried cleaning the jet with a pin from my first aid kit, but no luck. Ended up having to boil water for coffee over the fire, which took forever. I'm actually kind of impressed it lasted that long, all things considered. Looking for a reliable two-burner replacement under $150 that can handle some damp weather. Any suggestions from folks who've been in a similar spot?

Man, that's a classic Coleman story right there. A buddy of mine had his old two-burner give out on a super misty morning in the Adirondacks, same deal with the jet. He ended up getting a Camp Chef Everest as a replacement, and that thing has been a tank for him through some real soggy trips. It might be a bit over your budget new, but you can sometimes find them on sale.

Boiling water over the fire is the worst.

Seriously, the absolute worst. That slow boil feels like it takes a whole day when you're freezing. Been there with a finicky old stove, just staring at the pot. Makes you miss your kitchen so bad.
