That $20 tent stake puller bent on the second rock here in Colorado
I bought a cheap aluminum stake puller for a 4-day trip near Estes Park last month, and by day two it was twisted like a pretzel against the rocky soil. My neighbor's steel version from the 80s still holds up fine, so I'm wondering if the lighter materials are just not meant for anything past grass and sand. Anyone else hit this wall with modern stake tools or should I just go back to a trusty claw hammer?
