Hit 50,000 TikTok followers in one night and immediately lost my job
I posted a 30-second rant about a local restaurant owner treating staff like garbage, woke up to 50,000 new followers, and my boss fired me the next day for 'harming the company image.' Has anyone else gotten wrecked by going viral for the wrong reasons?

Probably worth talking to a lawyer even if it feels overkill right now.

and honestly, that's the thing about lawyers - you pay them for their advice before things go sideways, not after. i learned that the hard way with a contractor who ghosted me mid-project, and by the time I called someone it was already a mess. most will do a free 30 minute consult just to tell you where you stand, so there's no real downside. even if it feels dumb to spend money on a quick call, it's way cheaper than fixing whatever could blow up later. better to hear "you're fine" from a pro than to sit there guessing, you know?
