Lost $80 on a "cancel-proof" influencer course that got scrubbed from existence

Signed up for this online course about building a personal brand without getting canceled. The creator deleted everything and ghosted us three weeks in. Anyone else get burned by those hustle bros promising immunity from backlash?

Those hustle bros promising immunity from backlash" - yeah that's the part that really gets me. Like anyone can promise you won't get canceled, that's not how the internet works. I've seen people get dragged for literally nothing while actual awful people skate by fine. The whole idea that you can buy some magic formula to avoid controversy is just another way for them to cash in on people's fear. And then they vanish, classic move. If someone's selling a cure for something that doesn't exist yet, run the other way.

The thing that actually helped me @skyler_smith85 was just being super careful about who I followed and what I posted for a while. I started keeping receipts of everything and saving screenshots just in case something got twisted. It sounds paranoid but it saved my butt once when someone tried to claim I said something I didn't. Better to be safe than sorry when there's no magic shield against the mob.

Honestly I think keeping receipts is smart but the whole fear of cancellation thing gets blown way out of proportion most of the time.
