Seeing a colleague lose opportunities over a decade-old joke tweet is just brutal.
It's frustrating how a single misstep from years ago can overshadow someone's entire career. In my experience, the lack of context and forgiveness in these situations does more harm than good.

Man, I still cringe at some of my MySpace era posts. Like that one time I tried to be deep about cafeteria food... thank god nobody dug that up last job hunt. Makes you wanna delete the whole internet sometimes.
