Can we talk about the ren and stimpy episode that got yanked after one airing in 1992?
I was ripping old vhs tapes from a flea market in Tacoma and found a raw copy of the banned "Man's Best Friend" ep with the uncut beating scene still in it. A guy on a trading forum quoted me $200 for a dub back in 2019 and I laughed him off, then spent the next 6 months digging through garage sales trying to find one cheaper, which was dumb. Eventually a collector in Ohio mailed me a copy for the cost of shipping after I helped him id some bootleg doug tapes, and the quality was way worse than the $200 guy's anyway. Now I just pay the asking price when someone has a real syndication cut, because chasing deals on dead media wastes more time than the money saves. Anyone here actually seen the banned "dog show" segment, or is that just tape trader folklore?
