Stop saying "The Ren & Stimpy Show" got pulled because of adult jokes, Nickelodeon quietly moved it to MTV in 1995 after the John K. firing and that's what actually happened
Watched a 1995 MTV airing on a traded VHS tape in my garage last weekend and the credits literally say "MTV Networks" at the bottom, yet 3 different YouTube videos I sat through keep claiming Nickelodeon canceled it overnight after "Man's Best Friend," so can someone who actually recorded the switch explain what the schedule looked like that September?

Sounds like you're way more invested in this than the situation calls for, honestly. Does it really matter if Nick canceled it or shuffled it off to MTV in 1995? Either way the show was gone from Nickelodeon and that's the part most people remember. The "MTV Networks" tag in the credits just means Viacom owned both channels, so that tape doesn't prove some secret schedule move. YouTube videos get stuff wrong all the time, but this is a 30 year old kids cartoon we're talking about, not Watergate.
