A homeowner in Charlotte pointed out my seam lines were too obvious
She said she could see every single one from across the room, which really got me thinking. I realized I was rushing the final pass with the seam roller and not letting the adhesive set enough. Now I wait a solid 15 minutes after setting the seam before I go over it, and the difference is night and day. Anyone else adjust their timing on seams after getting a similar comment?

@tarar27 yeah I read something about how heat from a roller can mess with the adhesive if you rush it.

My old boss in Raleigh used to say a rushed seam is a ruined wall. He made me redo a whole hallway once because I rolled the vinyl too fast. The adhesive just squished out and left these ghost lines that caught the light. I learned to treat that final pass like a slow dance, not a race.

Oh man, that's so true. I've seen that exact thing happen with wallpaper paste. Rushed the smoothing and got these weird shiny streaks that looked wet forever. Slow and steady wins the race for sure.
