Finally figured out stair wrapping after 12 years in the business

Been installing carpet since 2012 and always struggled with getting the wrap tight on stair nosings without bubbles. Tried a new trick last week on a job in Phoenix - used a heat gun on the carpet backing for 10 seconds before pulling it over. That little bit of warmth made the backing pliable enough to get a perfect crease. Anyone else ever use heat on tricky spots like that?

Isn't that just life though? A little warmth makes everything bend easier.

Gotta admit @piper_reed, I used to fight everything but now I see what you mean.

What changed for you? Was it one big thing or just getting tired of fighting all the time? I swear sometimes the smallest shift in how you look at things makes the biggest difference.
