My helper accidentally glued himself to a $4000 carpet job last Wednesday

We were doing a house in Green Bay and my new guy set down his glue cup right where I was about to drop the carpet. He sat down to stretch it and his whole back pocket stuck to the tack strip and the seam glue. Took me 15 minutes with mineral spirits to peel him off the floor while the homeowner watched from the kitchen. Has anyone else had a helper get stuck to the job like that?

Had a buddy from out of town helping me with a tile backsplash and he leaned his arm right into a fresh bed of thinset. Took a putty knife and about twenty minutes to chip him free, homeowner's kid thought it was the funniest thing she'd ever seen. He still checks where his elbows go before he touches anything now.

Honestly @jakeb25 the homeowner just stood there with her coffee watching like it was reality TV. Bet that guy triple-checks his pockets now.

Wait, did the homeowner just watch or did they offer to help (or film it, which would be way worse)? Bet that guy's gonna be a lot more careful where he puts his glue cup from now on.
