PSA: Don't trust a cheap seam roller from a big box store

I bought a $12 seam roller for a job last month, thinking it would be fine. On the second seam, the plastic handle cracked right where it meets the roller, so I couldn't put any real pressure on it. I had to stop everything, drive 20 minutes to my supplier, and buy a proper metal one for $35. That wasted about an hour of my day and the cost of the broken tool. Anyone have a brand of roller that's lasted you more than a year?

Let a salesman talk you out of your plan? That's a bold move. I never trust those guys further than I can throw them. Hope you at least got a good warranty with whatever they sold you.

Ended up with a totally different brand than I planned. The store guy talked me into something else and now I'm just hoping it works out.
