PSA: I just hit 10,000 square yards installed in my career

I was cleaning out my truck last night and found my old logbook from when I started. Added up all the jobs from the last 15 years and the total came to 10,027 square yards. That number hit me hard because I remember being 20 years old and struggling to stretch my first 100-yard roll without a wrinkle. It's not just a number, it's every sore knee, every tricky staircase, and every satisfied customer. Has anyone else tracked their total yardage and been surprised by the figure?

Ever kept a tally of something you did for years and the final number just stops you cold? I did that with miles driven for work, not yards, but the feeling is the same. It adds up so slow you don't notice, then one day you look back and the size of it is kind of shocking. Makes all the long days feel real, you know? That's a huge amount of floor, man.

Wait, you measured it in YARDS? How do you even keep track of something that specific? That's a whole other level of noticing the grind.

Read an article about a guy who tracked his daily coffee spending for a decade. The total was over $15,000, which is wild when you see it all at once like that. It's the same idea, just watching those tiny bits pile up into something huge over time. Makes you realize how much the small stuff actually costs, lol.
