Rant: The amount of guys I see skipping the power stretcher on stairs is wild
I was finishing a job in a two story house in Charlotte and the guy before me just kicked in the carpet on every single step. You could see the ripples from the door. I had to pull it all up and redo it with my Crain 200, which took an extra three hours. It's not just about looks, that carpet will wear out twice as fast and start to bunch. Does anyone else run into this or am I just getting the bad luck jobs?

Ugh, tell me about it... saw a guy once just walk it down with his knee. The whole hallway looked like a roller coaster by the time he was done. Makes you wonder what they teach some people.

Read an article that said some places skip the basic "how to walk" stuff to save time. They just hand people the mop and bucket and say go for it. Explains why floors end up looking like a crime scene.

My old boss made us do a dry run with an empty bucket first. Sounds silly but it actually helped a lot with the wrist motion.
