Spent $400 on a premium tack strip, wish I hadn't

I bought the top end tack strip with the pre-set pins last fall for a 1,200 square foot house in Phoenix. Thought it would save me time on every transition, but the pins kept bending on the concrete slab and I had to pry half of it up. My regular stuff costs $90 a roll and works fine, so why did I talk myself into the fancy version? Anyone else ever get burned by paying extra for something that sounded like it would make the job easier, but actually made it worse?

Man, that's brutal. $400 for a tack strip that fights back harder than my ex during a custody hearing. I can just picture you, sweating in Phoenix, prying up bent pins thinking "this is premium?" while your $90 roll sits in the van laughing at you. Sounds like the only thing pre-set was the disappointment. At least you gave the concrete a free workout, so there's that.
