Used to stretch carpet with a knee kicker and power stretcher separately till a job last fall in a huge living room taught me the hard way

I was fighting a 20x25 room with just the power stretcher and my knee kicker kept pulling loose. Now I always use both together and it saves me at least an hour on big rooms. Has anyone else had their installs look way better after combining them?

Hell yeah man, that's exactly what I figured out too! I used to just grab whichever tool was closest and hope for the best, but after a nightmare install where I had to re-stretch half the room three times, I finally wised up. Now I always start with the knee kicker along the walls to lock the edges in, then hit the middle with the power stretcher... makes such a huge difference in how flat everything lays out. Honestly feels like I was doing it wrong for years before that.

Dude same! I had a job where I thought I had it perfect until the customer pointed out ripples the next morning and I wanted to die. Now I do the edges first with the knee kicker too and it saves so much headache.
