Watching a crew in Springfield rush the tack strip install cost them an hour later
I was helping a friend finish a job last month and saw the other guys just hammering the strips down without checking the wall line. They had to pull up three whole rows of carpet because the edge was wavy. It added like 60 minutes to the tear-out and re-stretch. How do you guys make sure you get that first strip right every time?

Rush the tack strip" is why I always snap a chalk line first.
