Warning: I thought the $2.50 taco truck by the laundromat on 7th was sketchy for 3 months
I walked past it every Sunday for 3 months because the truck looked beat up and there was never a line. One night I was broke and hungry after rent hit, so I grabbed 3 tacos for $7.50 and they were better than the $15 plate place downtown. The lady running it told me she's been parked there 11 years and most of her customers come after 9pm when the bars let out. Now I'm trying to figure out what other spots I've been avoiding just because they look rough. Anybody got a rule for when a cheap spot is worth a shot?
