If you're still buying chicken breast for meal prep you're burning money every single week
I checked the price at my Kroger in Nashville last Saturday and boneless skinless breast was $5.49 a pound while whole thighs were $1.79. That is not a small gap, that is almost $4 a pound you are just handing over for less flavor. I did the math on my old meal prep and I was spending $38 a week on chicken alone, now I do thighs and drumsticks and it comes out to $12 for the same amount of protein. The trick is you gotta roast them at 425 for 35 minutes and pull the meat off the bone, takes 10 extra minutes but saves you $20+. If you are doing the bland boiled breast thing you are paying more for worse food. What cuts are you all using to stretch your protein budget, cause I'm trying to get under $10 a week.
