My grocery bill went from $140 to $85 in 6 weeks by shopping at the Mexican market instead of the big store
I live in San Antonio and the H-E-B near me was killing my budget, so I started driving 10 minutes further to a small mercado on Culebra. The produce there is way cheaper, like 3 pounds of onions for a dollar, and the meat counter has family packs that last me almost two weeks. Has anyone else switched to a smaller ethnic grocery and seen that big of a drop, or am I just getting lucky with my spot?
