Warning: my $3 rice pot died on me and I had 6 dinners planned around it
My old rice cooker gave out on me last Tuesday night. I had 6 dinners lined up for the work stretch and the heating element just quit mid batch. I ended up cooking rice in a regular pot on the stove, which took twice as long and I burned the bottom layer. Now I'm wondering if I should grab another cheap one or just learn to do it right on the stove. Anyone got a stove top rice trick that doesn't turn into a gluey mess?
