My buddy at the flea market in Dallas swore I could haggle a $20 board game down to $5, and WOW was he wrong
He pulled me aside at the Canton flea market two Saturdays back and said the trick was to walk away twice from the booth, then come back with cash in hand. I did exactly that on a $20 copy of Ticket to Ride and the seller just shrugged and said the price was firm. I walked away for real, came back 20 minutes later, and he'd actually RAISED it to $25 because someone else was eyeing it. Ended up paying $18 for a different game at the next booth with zero haggling. So what actually works when a seller won't budge at all, do you just walk or is there a move I'm missing?
