TIL my library card gets me free museum passes in Seattle

Asked for a museum pass last Tuesday and the librarian handed me a code for the aquarium, so I went with my sister and we spent zero dollars on admission, only a $4 bus fare, has anyone else looked into what their local library offers besides books?

Libraries are quietly becoming one of the most useful things we still pay for through taxes. Mine gives out fishing rods and bird watching kits, which sounds random until you realize it's basically a free outdoor gear rental. People sleep on this stuff because they only think of books and computers, but the real value is in all the extra stuff nobody advertises. It's wild that we have these community resources just sitting there if you bother to ask the right person at the front desk.
